Furniture fittings selection guide:
Inserts (threaded inserts, blind, cover caps)
- 1. Is the cover attachable or insertable?
- 2. Outer diameter is an important parameter (for metal parts it is necessary to know the thickness of the material).
- 3. In the case of a threaded insert, important to know thread size (M8 etc.). and thread material (plastic, galvanized metal, stainless metal).
Levelling feet, control hardwear (nuts and screws)
- 1. In the case of levelling feet it is necessary to decide between machine and furniture feet. The main difference is load capacity and service life.
- 2. Furniture glides are generally only placed on or in a pipe and have a finishing and protective function. They have no threaded part. Threaded parts are generally suitable for metal installations or machines. Does the glide/feet height have to be adjustable?
- 3. Does the thread of the levelling feet have to move - be the ball joint?
- 4. What is the thread material (plastic, galvanized metal, stainless metal)? Should it need the antislip base?
- 5. What is the diameter of the foot base or hand screw, nut e.g. d=40mm. Also we ask for thread parameters diameter and length e.g. M8x50 mm.
- 6. What is the thread material (plastic, galvanized metal, stainless metal).
Washers / bushings
- 1. Parameters are outer/ inner diameter and bushing length. In the case of a collar bushing, we would like to know the height of the collar, in the case of a saddle bushing, in addition to the diameter of the saddle depth.
- 2. The color of the washer or bushing are usually black or neutral.
Industrial handles and electrical accessories for furniture
- 1. For industrial handles we need to know the shape, dimensions, thread parameters and material.
- 2. For a heat-resistant handle, we need to know how long and what temperature the handle must withstand.
- 3. Electrical accessories installed on furniture usually invlude cable organizers and bushings, and for these we need to know about the material, colour and diameter of the openings they are placed.
- 4. In the case of cable organizers, it is generally necessary to know its type and length.
